Prime Minister Edi Rama considers it a historic achievement that for the first time North Macedonia will have an Albanian Prime Minister, although for a short time with the mandate of a transitional government.
And the head of the Albanian government attributes this merit to Ali Ahmet, whom he says has done a lot for the rights of Albanians in North Macedonia.
Rama appreciates Ali Ahmet’s behavior in Macedonian politics for the rights of Albanians in that country as a historical lesson for everyone and future generations.
“Ali Ahmeti can be heavily criticized within the country, because it is the right and duty of anyone who is in the opposition to demand more from anyone who is in power. But what Ali Ahmeti has done with power for the advancement of the rights of Albanians in the neighboring country, and for their affirmation as equal citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia is a historical lesson for all of us and the generations to come! And looking at the attached photo of a historical moment in the path of the Albanian community, I remembered the wise words of a great politician, “Boys want power to be recognized by others, and men to do for others “; this would be the perfect caption for this photo”, Prime Minister Edi Rama wrote on Facebook.
Talat Xhaferi is expected to be voted as Prime Minister of North Macedonia tomorrow according to an agreement made earlier between Ali Ahmeti’s Albanian party DUI and the Macedonian party LSDM, which are in a coalition together.
