Another serious accident happened in neighboring Italy, this time in Genoa.
According to what the Italian media reports, 1 person lost his life while 6 others were injured. One of them is in a coma. The accident happened around 07:00 this Tuesday, on the A12 highway, between Rapallo and Chiavari. According to the first data, a van in which several workers were traveling collided with the wall on the side of the road. After the collision, they got out of the vehicle and at this moment money was taken from the cars coming in front of them.
Currently, the circumstances of how the van ended up colliding with the wall remain unclear, but it is learned that the vehicle went in the opposite direction of the road. It is suspected that the van was not spotted by oncoming vehicles due to darkness.
One of the workers, after crashing and ending up on the ground, was hit by other vehicles. Two of the injured are reported to be in serious condition. While the other 4 injured, including 2 car drivers and 2 workers, received non-life-threatening injuries.
All the workers traveling in the car were of foreign nationalities, however their identities have not yet been released. It is learned that they were on their way to work when the serious incident happened.
The day before, several massive accidents occurred on the A22 highway in Reggio Emilia due to dense fog, leading to the death of an Albanian and the injury of around 30 other people.
