An operation by the police of Tirana in cooperation with that of Kruja revealed that 3 teenage girls, removed from their homes a year ago, were being used for prostitution. In an announcement to the media, the police said that they had arrested 3 people as suspected perpetrators, while a fourth was declared wanted. As for the girls, aged 15, 16 and 17, the police initiated criminal proceedings for prostitution.
“Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic in Tirana DVP, in cooperation with the Krujë Police Station, in the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, following the work on the attacks of illegality in any form of their show, have organized and finalized the coded police operation “Location”. As part of this operation: citizens S. D., 21 years old, K. K., 24 years old, and F. C., 20 years old, all three residents of Larushk, were detained; their accomplice, citizen K. D., 22 years old, resident of Larushk, was declared wanted; 3 citizens aged 15, 16, and 17 were criminally prosecuted”.
From the investigations, it was found that the 3 arrested together with the wanted man, “in cooperation with each other, used the three minor citizens, aged 15, 16, and 17, for prostitution against monetary benefits. The suspected perpetrators, after contacting other people, directed them to the hotels where minors were accommodated, in the area of Larushk, Fushë Krujë, and in Arameras”.
During the physical checks of one of the arrested and the 17-year-old, the police found a quantity of cannabis. The three minors had left the respective apartments in the months of June, September and October last year.
