If you use Microsoft Office, you should be used to having text appear in the Calibri template. But the tech giant has sparked outrage this week by replacing Calibri for the first time in 17 years.
The new typeface is Aptos and users have reviews. “The work computer changed the writing pattern from Calibri to whatever this looks like a joke.”
Aptos was selected last year, but now Microsoft has started to apply it to users around the world.
Aptos is pronounced and visible. It articulates many languages and has different tones. The edges are clean. The small spaces within the contours of the letters make it more readable, especially in lowercase letters”, are some of the phrases with which Microsoft has described it.
Although it is very similar to Calibri, users have been ‘annoyed’ by the minor changes. Fortunately, there is an easy way to restore your favorite format.
Go to Home menu > Font Dialog Box Launcher > Calibri. Choose the size you want and click “Set As Default”. A table will appear asking you to specify whether you want to apply it to the document you have open or to all. Double-click the OK icon after making your selection.
