Asqeri Mandri is the 34-year-old man who was arrested today by the Tirana Police after he had been abusing and keeping his wife locked up at home for months. As the journalist of Klan News Besar Bajraktaraj informs, the young man had been back from Germany for 6 months and since then he had installed cameras in the premises of the apartment in Kodër Institut. In each room, he had placed 3 cameras in different angles, including the premises outside.
It is known that after he returned from abroad, he remained unemployed and this pushed him and his wife to work. She stated in front of the blues that she did not go to work for 2 weeks because of jealousy, but she returned.
When asked why he was monitoring the woman, Mandri said “that’s how my brain gave me”. Meanwhile, the wife declares to the investigators that after returning from Germany, he showed marked signs of jealousy and cursed her all the time, accusing her of treason. The couple has 4 children, who, together with their mother, have fallen prey to constant violence.
The report to the police was made by the wife, who asked for help and the agents of Commissariat no. 3 have found the house monitored by cameras. In the footage of the security cameras, the 34-year-old man appears who, at different moments while playing with the children, got up and used violence against the woman. His brother is also convicted for domestic violence.
We recall that 10 days ago, an almost identical case was discovered in the capital, where Jetnor Zhaboli trapped the 3 women of the family inside the apartment.
