The road leading to the Pheasant Forest in Maliq is soon expected to turn into a promenade. This will help the tourism sector, being one of the main attractions that includes the municipality of Maliq, revived a few years ago, turning it into a clean and relaxing environment. In addition, this promenade will also connect one of the most risky areas for pedestrians and vehicles, which is the segment from the intersection of Libonik to the bridge over the Dunavec river. The work first started with the cleaning of the territory from urban waste and inerts. On this occasion, the manager of the external sector of public services in the Libonik unit, Sali Cenolli, appeals to the residents to keep the environment as clean as possible.
The “Pheasant Forest” with an area of about 50 Ha is located 10 km from the city of Korça and only 2 km from the city of Maliqi and enjoys the status of a natural monument. In recent years, its attendance has increased significantly not only by the residents of the area, but it has also been seen with interest by foreign tourists.
